🔥 Fire Safety Night 🔥
A big thank you to everyone who braved the chilly winter evening to attend our Fire Safety Night at the club!
We were fortunate to have ‘Bushie’, a highly experienced firefighter with 48 years of service, lead the session. His practical knowledge and no-nonsense approach made for an informative and engaging night.
Bushie covered a wide range of essential topics, including pre-trip boat preparation, hitching checks and tie-downs, fire safety on board, recovering people from the water using lifelines, as well as the proper use of fire extinguishers and EPIRBs.
There were also some fantastic giveaways on the night, adding an extra bit of excitement to an already valuable event.
Despite the cold outside, the clubhouse was warm and welcoming with a roaring open fire and great company. A fantastic turnout and an invaluable night of learning for all.
