Able Day on the Bay Event at BMYS on Thursday, 26th June 2025
In 2006 Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron hosted the first annual Able Day on the Bay for a group of people with varying degrees of disabilities from an organisation called Able Australia.
We are proud to say that Thursday, 26th June 2025 was the 13th occasion that BMYS has hosted this great event.
Weatherwise it was cold with a little rain early in the day with improvement during the morning. Accompanied by their carers Able Australia clients visiting BMYS were able to experience a great boat ride or two on the Bay and a ride in some classic cars.
Able Australia is a diverse not-for-profit organisation offering a broad range of disability services for adults and community supports for seniors.
Lunch was served in the downstairs Member’s Bar for all those taking part in the day, which included the Club volunteers.
Our special thanks to Club members who generously supported our 2025 Able Day on the Bay Event.
It is always a most uplifting and warm experience for the BMYS volunteers on the day to observe the love, care and dedication provided by the Able Australia carers to their clients.
