During early April, several BMYS members made the annual trip to participate in the traditional joint club fishing competition (BMYS, Wangaratta, Albury clubs) based out of Bundalong in northern Victoria.
Notables from BMYS included Geoff Hill, Tim Hipkin, Les Sabo, Brian McNaughton and Steve Lopes.
Country club host Wayne Suter again made sure the event was well organised and ran smoothly despite the weather being indifferent.
Target species for the competition was the mighty Murray Cod, with some bycatches of other native freshwater fish.
Geoff Hill (biggest fish 66 cms), Steve Lopes and Brian McNaughton all weighed in some nice fish, but no monsters were caught.
The annual "NAFA" award was won by Les Sabo with no word on what happenings led to this award, some things are best left unsaid!
