Competitors enjoyed a lovely Autumn morning with light winds and plenty of sunshine. Conditions were ideal for running a Nav Rally and led to some solid scores from the field.
The Ricketts Point Regatta is the premier Nav Rally event on the calendar. This year‚'s course heading East from the club and then followed Mentone beach before heading out into Beaumaris Bay. After some longer legs boat passed close to Ricketts Point before returning past Table Rock to the finish at BMYS.
Congratulations to Graeme Joynson skipper of Beeracuda for winning the event with a great score of 25 points.

Noel McNicol and Ben Fletcher supported the event on water with the Parkdale Yacht Club Rescue boat. Thanks to John Regester and Tony Huxham for running the base station and providing a radio watch.
All crews gathered in the Sports Bar to watch a replay of the event and relay their stories from out on the course.
A BBQ lunch and presentations completed a great day at the Ricketts Regatta. Thanks to all who are supporters of Nav Rallies at BMYS.
