With the sun shining down on us, over 100 keen volunteers turned up to transform the club into an oasis for the summer.
Tasks successfully completed were all the gardening items from Beach Road to the water tanks and beyond lead by Lindsey and his battalion of helpers.
Club signage was put up, including some mentions of our sponsors.
The onerous task of desilting the ramps was undertaken by Belly and his small band of volunteers.
Lighting issues around the club were dealt with along with the removal of rotten handrails along the wharf.
A new panel of fencing was installed to the BBQ area; umbrella brackets were installed to the balcony tables along with new tactiles in front of the male toilet to the sports bar.
Th Bobcat did all the heavy lifting and removed weed from the ramps along with heavy branch removal.
Lines were re-established out in the carparks, and the fish cleaning area was given a once-over.
Overall, it was a great day and as you can see plenty was achieved.
A special thanks must go to Julie and the social committee for looking after us all with refreshments and a magnificent BBQ lunch and of course the staff of the BMYC.
