Sunday, 26th January 2025 was Australia Day and the BMYS celebrated in style.
The day started with a cruise of 10 boats down to Patterson River where a lovely morning tea was had by all the skippers and crew. The trip took the path close to the shoreline and the beautiful Vista of all the houses and buildings along the beach.
On the way back home, the boats met up with Tony Huxham out on the water handing out ice creams to all those on the cruise.
On return with the boats washed down skippers and crew came in to the club green area for an amazing afternoon of Australian music performed by SOLO artist Alex Kyle.
The boating and social committee with much assistance from the fishing committee prepared a magnificent lunch for all in attendance. There was around 130 people booked in for the lunch. The celebrations went well into the afternoon and the day was a perfect sunny 26°.
