Our experienced Event Manager will assist you in every aspect of planning the day, to include the option of hosting the ceremony itself here on our manicured lawn.

What is included in the package?
The set price for 2019 wedding reception banquet event bookings at BMYS is competitively priced at $130 per person, representing amazing value for any venue on the bay. This package includes the following;
- Arrival canapés on balcony or in the ground floor function area
- A tailored three-course menu from a vast selection of entrée, main course and dessert dishes
- 4.5-hour standard beverage package to include tap beer, a comprehensive house wine range, sparkling & soft drinks
- A private room for the wedding party to assemble prior to the reception beginning
- White chair covers & your preferred colour and fabric chair sash
- White linen table cloths and white linen napery
- Dressed cake table with a silver cake knife – cake can be plated & served as dessert if preferred
- Banquet tables to be set with mirrors for your centrepieces & tea light candles
- A parquetry dancefloor and table for your DJ, or band members
- Wrought iron display stand for a guest table listing
- Access via single lift for wheelchairs, older guests or anyone that may find stairs a challenge
- In-house sound system for cordless microphone

$600 Ceremony Lawn Hire
Wedding ceremonies can be conducted onsite on the grounds overlooking the pier, with a picturesque backdrop of the Mornington Peninsula on the horizon. The grassed area adjacent to the clubhouse has a permanent gabled structure for the wedding couple to assemble in front of.
Ceremony hire is inclusive of a themed carpet to be the aisle, available in a blue Persian pattern, black, red or natural lawn allowing for flower petals. To define the aisle, 40 white chairs are set for family and older guests, with larger groups then able to stand and view behind them.
Your hire cars are able to drive down the entry road in full site and pull up for the Wedding Party to exit right at the grassed area.
Once the ceremony has completed, those required for photos are normally taken by their photographer the vantage points, leaving the reception guests to then move through to the lower bar for the interim.
An Example Timeline for the day
With the manicured Wedding lawn, photo vantage points, a pre-function bar and the reception area, BMYS can accommodate your guests from start to finish, all with the convenience of free on-site parking.
4.00pm: – Guest Invitations request their arrival to the BMYS Wedding Lawn
Ceremonies are often set to welcome guests from 4pm, with the waiting Wedding Party to be assembled by 4.15pm and the Wedding car to arrive close to 4.30pm. With the ceremony completed, those required for photos are normally taken by their photographer, leaving the reception guests to then move through to the lower bar for the interim.
5.00pm: – Guest are welcomed into a pre-function bar downstairs
The option is available for guests to purchase drinks from the cash bar prior to the reception, or a separate bar-tab can be set-up if preferred. Chef will prepare canapes on arrival as a welcoming gesture to enjoy with these first drinks.
6.00pm: – The Wedding Party return to the club
Soon after 6pm, the Bridal Party will be welcomed to the separate private suite upstairs and once settled, our Event Manager will invite your guests up to the reception room for the function to commence.
6.15pm: – Your MC will welcome guests and introduce the Wedding Party
Typically the photographer uses this opportunity to take a photo of the wedding cake being cut, then guests are seated ready for the banquet to commence.
6.30pm: – Entrée will be served
Beginning with the Wedding Party, your guests will be served the entrée table by table, as well as having the selected white and red wines available at the table throughout the meal
7.10pm: – Wedding Party first dance
Often couple will like to have their first dance photographed or recorded earlier on in the night, prior to the main course to break up the formalities.
7.30pm: – Main Course meals to be served
You may select two meal options to be served 50:50 (alternate drop) to each of the tables. A popular option at BMYS is for the tables to be presented with a share bowl of vegetables, salad and a pouring source for guests to add to their meal to suit individual preferences.
8.15pm: – MC to introduce your Wedding Party speeches
With main course completed, speech duration isn’t as time sensitive. Another set of dancing generally will lead into the MC inviting the entire group to join in.
9.00pm: – Dessert is served
You may select two dishes for alternate drop, or arrange for wedding cake to be used in place of dessert.
9.30pm: – With the formalities completed, Let the dancing and party begin.
The five-hour event will carry through until 11 pm, where we encourage the DJ, or entertainers to coordinate the final songs and farewells to finish up for the Wedding Party to depart at 11.15pm.
