Are you interested in becoming a member of BMYS?
Here is some information about the application process and the steps to becoming a member.
A person interested in membership is encouraged to email the administration team at email@example.com to introduce themselves and seek the relevant nomination forms.
The Commodore has composed a welcome letter that further explains membership and highlights what BMYS is all about. The admin team will send this as the reply to your initial enquiry.
Communication throughout the induction demonstrates from the outset that becoming a member is so much more than merely accessing a great boat launching ramp.
The clear expectation of inductees is that they are motivated to participate in club events and social activities to maintain our vibrant club culture.
With a clear understanding of the Commodore’s letter, a person wanting to apply needs to email back to say the club activities suit their needs and that they wish to apply.
The admin team will respond with the full application form for you to complete and return. At this point, the $1100 joining fee is to be paid with the submission of that form.
A waiting list for a group induction will be compiled and the nominees will be updated when the next new member interviews can be scheduled.
Once the Commodore’s interviews have been completed, a group induction and welcome evening will be hosted at the club, to ensure that all new members are aware of all the facilities, by-laws and social opportunities to become involved with.
As a newly inducted member, you will be required to pay the annual subscription fee (currently $1,066) which gives you access to the club facilities 7 days a week.
This yearly membership subscription fee includes $200 (bar levy) which is loaded onto your member key fob – to encourage members to use either of the 2 bars or to purchase Friday bistro meals.
What BMYS has to offer
Aside from the two launching ramps, members can take advantage of the fish cleaning area and wash down their boat using one of the three power washers.
The access gates for vehicles and trailers open only with the use of your member key fob, providing you with the opportunity to launch at any time of the day.
The club calendar has something for everyone, with vibrant competitions and participation within the club house for events.
The Club holds various functions during the year including boat cruises, navigational rallies, social dinners, fishing competitions, guest speakers and much more!
Each Friday the bistro operates for great value meals for you to invite friends along. A weekly member’s cash draw operates during the Friday nights, as well as a traditional meat raffle also.
Another popular feature is the members’ 24hr lounge accessible also with the use of your member key fob.
Your family and friends can join you for use of the free barbecue facilities and children’s play area overlooking the bay and coastline.
Thank you for showing interest in being a BMYS member, please feel welcome to email or call the club with any questions.
