Function Details

Table Plans & Seating

We have 2 x 12 oval tables; 10 x 10 round tables & 10 x 8 round tables. Maximum seating in the dining room is 170. You will find a table plan attached to this information.

Linen

We provide white linen tablecloths & white linen napkins. You are welcome to take the napkins home with you on the day of your settlement appointment to fold or decorate with ribbons etc.

The Cake

We strongly suggest that the cake is made by a professional. It is wise to find out if they deliver to the venue for you - this saves a great deal of stress on your Wedding day. We also recommend that pins & wire are NOT placed directly through the icing of the cake. This can be very dangerous if they are not detected prior to serving.

M.C.

You are welcome to provide your own MC. for your function. We will assist them with timing and suggestions during the night to ensure your reception runs smoothly for you. We can also provide a M.C.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is only allowed outside on the balcony.

Band Meals

Under the musician's union regulations, your band expects a meal. We can supply each band member with a main course & soft drinks that will be served at a table away from your guests for $30 per person. If you decide you would like the band to sit with your guests in the dining area then you pay the normal price.

Extending the Reception

The cost for extending is $350 per hour + beverages.

Ceremonies

Can either be held on the foreshore, or if the weather turns sour, in the upstairs lounge area. The decision will be made earlier in the day as to the location of the ceremony - weather dependent. We allow 1 hour for the use of the grounds for the ceremony and charge $300.

Function Timing

We allow 5 hours for reception only. Your time begins from the time you designate as the start of the reception. ie. 7.00 pm start would mean the reception will finish at 12.00am.
Note our liquor license allows us to serve alcohol no later than 1.00am on a Saturday night unless you obtain a limited license from the liquor licensing commission for a minimal cost. Speak to our manager for more information.

Decorations

You are welcome to organise your own decorations for the stairs & reception room if you desire at your own cost.

Beverages

Depending on the menu you choose for your function, we have a selection of bottled red & white house wines, beer from the tap & champagne, soft drink & orange juice. The cost for up-grading the wine & champagne served to your guests will depend on the type chosen. Please speak with our manager to discuss your requirements.
The Squadron reserves the right to offer different House Wines. You are also welcome to have a Bar Tab for a set amount on the night. Please discuss these ideas at your settlement appointment.

Special Effects

There are many different ideas available to make your Reception unique & one your guests will remember. We are one of the few venues where we are able to obtain permission from the authorities to have a firework display. See our Recommended Suppliers List for more information.

 Important

It is the requirement of the club that you provide us with the names & addresses of all guests that will be attending your function. If you need to discuss this further, please don't hesitate to contact the club on 9589 5156.
